TABLE FOUR

Wedding seating, start to finish

A free wedding seating chart maker that does the first draft for you

Start with the page that fits your plan:

Most couples build their seating chart the same way: a spreadsheet of names, a sketch of the room, and an evening of moving sticky notes around until nobody is sitting next to the wrong person. SeatFinch keeps the parts of that process that need your judgement and automates the rest. You bring the guest list and the rules only you know; the planner works out an arrangement that respects them.

Start by pasting or importing your guest list as a CSV with names, households, tags and meal choices. Add the tables you actually have — round or rectangular, with the seat count your venue gives you — and place them on a floor plan. Then write down the rules: who must sit together, who must never share a table, and whether each household should stay at one table. Press Auto-seat and SeatFinch fills the room without breaking a hard rule. If two rules contradict each other, it tells you which ones instead of quietly ignoring one.

From there the chart is yours to fine-tune. Drag a guest to another table, change a table’s capacity, or press Reshuffle for a different arrangement that still keeps every rule. When the plan is settled, export a printable seating chart in one of three themes — Classic, Modern or Botanical — along with an alphabetical escort-card list for the welcome table and a CSV grouped by table that you can send to your caterer.

Planning is free with unlimited guests, tables and rules, and auto-seating is included for lists of up to 30 guests. For a full wedding list, a one-time unlock of $24 per event adds unlimited auto-seating and the print-ready exports. There is no subscription for couples.

Questions

FAQ

Something else? Write to us. A real person replies within a day.

01How does auto-seating work?

Guests who must sit together, and households, are treated as one unit. We fill tables without ever breaking a hard rule, If rules clash, we tell you exactly which ones.

02Can I get a different arrangement?

Yes. Every run is reproducible, and Reshuffle gives you a fresh arrangement that still respects all of your rules.

03Do I need a subscription?

No. Couples pay once per event. The monthly plan is only for planners who manage many weddings.

04Is my guest list private?

Your data belongs to your account. We never sell lists or use them for advertising, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
